Hello :)

Have been interested in photography for a few years but have only just found your forum!

I have a Canon 450d and a Canon Power Shot Sx220

I am guilty of using the automatic setting too often! Really want to try and experiment more. Looking forward to looking around the forums and picking up some tips.

Hi Karen and welcome to TP

The 450D is a great camera to start with. Its so good, I still have mine as I cant bear to part with it :D

Have a dabble with using it on Av mode first and just experiment. Take a look at the basics section on the forum too :thumbs:

Try searching the forum for tutorials, worth looking on YouTube aswell. I watched a good video where they showed you the live view of what happens when changing shutter speed, aperture & ISO.
