Just dipping my toe in after 14 years of not picking up an slr.

So I'm doing a lot of reading up and am going to treat myself to a dslr in the next couple of weeks

sounds like me - I learned how to use an SLR properly and went everywhere with one, then got a digital compact and used it all the time. My son recently led me back to DSLRs and I'm now re-learning all the settings

Thanks for the replies. I'm enjoying reading up on a lot of stuff i thought i knew about when i was 15-17 only to realise i did'nt know a thing!
I'm just itching to get my hands on a camera now!
