I've lurking here for a few weeks so I guess it is time I introduced myself.
I've had a general interest in photography since childhood, even having my own B&W darkroom for a year or two but in reality I didn't do much more than play around occasionally.
More recently I have got a bit more keen, initially with a D50 and then a few months ago "upgrading" to a s/h D300.
I am also lucky to have a friend with more money than sense who is happy to lend me his kit so I've also got to play with some very nice lenses.
All this has proved to me that, while the fancy lenses (and the D300 for that matter) are great bits of kit, they don't make up for skill and I still have a lot of learning to do. Which is why I am here!
