Hi all,
I'm from Surrey and recently got more into photography after seeing a friends cracking pictures. I dabbled in 35mm film when I was a lad but have stuck with various compact cameras since then.

I quite like astrophotogrphy and macro photos and I've been getting a bit frustrated with the limitations of the little digital camera. I bit the bullet and got a DSLR along with a 55-200 lens.

Currently looking for a macro lens and tripod and look forward to taking my photography to the next level.

Soooo many absolutely fantastic photos on this forum - I'm thinking I'm out of my depth but I guess everyone has to start somewhere.

First question imminent - on lenses :)
