Hi all.

I'm just trying to get back into my photography after a break. I sold my Sony A700 to downgrade to a Nikon D3000. I'll be looking to get some decent glass that will be suitable for my passion for sports photography.

It looks like a busy place here. I'm sure I'll learn a lot!

Thanks for the welcome.

I've yet to post any of my images but am hoping to go to the races in midweek to see what results I can get with the Nikon d3000 and the 18-55 kit lens. I'm yet to buy the 35mm 1.8 as I don't really need it until the end of November.

First impressions of the d3000 are that it's a decent budget DSLR. High ISO images look a bit poor though. It's to be expected though.
