Well, this is a bit daunting!

I'm new to photography and new to TP. Just thought would say hello.

I've had an interest in photography for a while and have just purchased a DSLR. I'm determined to teach myself how to use it... we'll see how far I get!

Am sure I'll be picking people's brains soon enough.

Hello Clare and welcome to the forum. Just dive in and start posting. There are some good guides in the 'Talk Basics' section.

A DSLR is just a camera and you should start by understanding the relationship between Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO.
