I fell out of my wheelchair 2 weeks ago shooting some photos of a charity event, unfortunately the camera came between me and the tarmac.
 
You should always try to cushion the fall, put yourself between the camera and tarmac!! :D
I trust you are insured bud?

My wife called the insurance to claim, she told them where it happened they then quoted a section of our policy, NOT INSURED IF PROPERTY IS NOT IN THE HOUSE BOUNDRIES. By then it was too late.
 
Oh no! what a bummer! Is it a total write off? Can it not be repaired?
 
it had a 6ft 2 17 stone bloke squash it, beyond economical repair.
 
Well, get it on here for spares (when you have enough posts) and start a pot for another. Get yourself a cheap n cheerfull P&S to tide you over till your next DSLR. You can buy with just a few posts!
 
I have just been given a compact, but its too small for me to use it takes cracking photos but I have difficulty pressing the buttons and turning the dials due to the small size.
 
Don't know what to suggest then mate! Maybe one of the older Digis like a nikon coolpix 995 which has controls not unlike a dslr? Anyone else got any ideas?

I will sort one out in a few months, I have a new car being adapted for me and pick that up next month so gotta pay for that then I can start putting to one side each month. I always have my camera on my phone :cuckoo: lol
 
Better than no camera at all! Mind you, I have a Nokia with a 5mpxl camera and its a belter!
