Good morning,

As my footballing days are virtually numbered and the wife is not happy about me keeping a gun in the house I am looking to take up photography as a hobby.

Any advice would be welcome as I know how to enter a camera shop, but then my skill set ends.

I have Googled various things, but end up confused with all the numbers & letters after camera's & lenses.

I like the macro shots and this is something that I would like to do.

So any help will be great, prices, where to buy and hints & tips

Paul,

plenty to learn from here so you can "shoot" away. Don't limit yourself to macro there is plenty of other oppurtunities. Why not photograph the football you used to enjoy so much, thus keeping you and your wife happy!! :D

I would like to also do sports. The Mrs also complained when I played as I would walk funny for days after.
