Hi, Just joined after looking at the forum for awhile as a non-registered user.

Lots of nice pics on here, hopefully I can improve my images with your help.

I own a 400D with the standard 17-55 lens, Got a 70-300 f4-5.6 IS USM yesterday. A budget Argos tripod that'll need replacing soon and a remote shutter cable.

I will be looking to replace my kit lens, get a 50mm 1.8 and some kind of Macro in the future.

I don't tend to take pics of any particular subject, just enjoy taking pics of whatever is about.

Hi Neil, get yourself the nifty fifty and you wont regret it. I have a reversal mount for mine (nikon) which someone recommended to me, it means I can mount it the other way tound and take macro photos with it (the 50mm)... there dead sharp! Not sure if you can get the same for Canon, might be worth a look on ebay when you get your 50, I think it was about 4 quid from HK :thumbs:
