Hi James. I am realy new in photoghrapy. And I want to buy a dslr. This will be my first slr machine. I decide to buy 450D same as you? What do you think about the machine. And Do you suggest.

And hi to all.I am pleased to hear your suggestion. Can you help me to sellect my new camera.

I am no expert so take my advise as such but U think the 450D is an excellent starter DSLR as are cheaper models the 400D/350D or even secondhand 300D which can be picked up for around 200 in good condition with extras.There is a Canon 1000 which is aimed at beginners if I have read rightly so that maybe worth checking out too.

Personaly I have owned a few Cameras starting with simple P@S and the earlier Canon DSLRS but the 450D to me at least beats anything I have used before and is easier to use than any other DSLR I have owned too,Love it!

Do you own a Compact Camera (Point n Shoot)?

My first compact machine was Kodak C630 and after that I bought samsung S850. And now on I want to buy a dslr machine. But it is very difficult to decide that which machine is suitable for me. Some people suggest A350 for begginner because of its' In-body Super SteadyShot. I can't decide. I am going to buy a kit and an extra telephoto zoom lens. But which one.
And I will use this machine for 3 years or may be more than that....
