Hello all abit of a long shot i know but we are looking for a wedding photographer for October 31st this year service starts at 2pm location near burton on trent. we are looking for someone who is after work experience so maybe a student to photograph our day if you can help please contact me on [removed].

Can't see in the rules about post of this type maybe you could copy and paste the rule for me thanks.
 
Can't see the problem myself, there a quite a few wedding photographer on here mind who might get a bit narked that you are looking for someone not so experienced and therefore not at a large cost.

I also can't see the problem as there are also a lot of non-experienced photographers on the forum that would be willing to do it for not a lot fo cost but the rules are the rules so we have to follow them.

It is wasn't so far away I'd have given Lee a call myself. Good luck with finding a suitable photographer.
 
Maybe it should be incorporated into the rules.

It's hard to blame Lee for not knowing about it.
 
I wasn't trying to place any blame on Lee at all. I don't expect many new members look at the rules at all before posting. Every credit to him for finding this forum to ask the question. He may just have to look elsewhere. Having said that this thread has been here for a few hours now without being deleted. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's not against the rules any more.

Certainly :)

We no longer allow the following :

Posts by non-photographers looking for a 'freebie' or a 'cheap photographer'.
Wedding requests unless by an established TP member or a professional requesting assistance of a fellow photographer.
Requests from brides/wedding parties.
Any threads or posts the staff believe are not within the spirit of Talk Photography, regardless of content
