Hi all,
I have joined the forum as after many years of just taking photographs using a pocket camera, I now realise how poor the quality of the photograps that I take turn out, but at the time, it didn't really matter to me just how they looked as I wasn't really taking or even looking at the photos seriously.
I am now needing to take photos correctly and have to start at the bottom of the ladder and therefore need some help to learn more as I go along.
My first problem that I came accross was to know what sort of camera I should buy for taking photos for the web.
After becoming so confused about which Camera to buy, I just bought a second camera to begin with. It is a Canon Powershot S2. I immediately came accross my first hiccup with it. I took a photograph, but the background colour was lighter than the real colour, so I knew that image that I wanted to photo to be exact must also be inaccurate. The photos I take are close to the Camera - the objects I photo are on the floor and always taken indoors sometimes the room is brighter than at other times.
The need for accurate looking pictures is paramount.
If anyone can tell me where I have gone wrong and how to fix it, I would be very grateful
Thank you.
