I have just bought a second hand DSLR kit (Nikon D40 18-55 & 55-200) which i am really happy with so far.I am a total beginner to DSLR photography so just getting used to the basics of the camera first, then i hope to progress and move away from Auto and point and shoot so i hope to get some good advice and tips as i go along :)

I had my mind set on a new D90 originally as my first camera, so i bought the idiots guide to the D90 off Amazon while i was looking at cameras. i changed my mind and opted for the D40 as a starter :bonk: :) glad i did cos the techy stuff is very confusing at the moment..

I will take a look at the books thanks for the tips..
