Hello I'm new here!
I have really signed up to learn things as I am a new photographer! I have a Nikon d3100 i got it yesterday so I've just been taking random photos of our Xmas tree decorations, I haven't got anything for it yet
just the lens it came with i'm hoping to get a case on eBay

I am a photoshopper and I motorhome so it seems pretty stupid that I didn't get a camera sooner


I travel england with my mum and dad we don't live In our van we have a house we have a group where we meet up

if anyone has a nikon d3100 I need tips!!! :)

Hi Stephanie
The best tips are relevant no matter what the camera. You probably have the 18-55 standard size kit lens which is all you need for now just take lots of piccies and learn from your mistakes. You will get plenty of tips just scouring through the forums here. In particular look at the photos that other photographers (especially novices like yourself) post and then they get them C&C'd (comments and critique) from other members. This is a great way to pick up valuable technique hints.
So dont be in a rush to go buying more gear but do get really well acquainted with your camera and its controls RTM (read the manual) and above all have fun the great thing about digital is that making mistakes is free not like in the film days. Mmm! gotta love that delete button;) Remember the most important thing in photography is half an inch behind the camera :thumbs:
