Hi everyone..

Just joined the forum, only just found this one have spent the last couple of years using DPreview forums.

Few words... Only converted to DSLR about 2 years ago, so I am still learning, couple of weeks ago I upgraded from D50 to the D80. Very pleased with the camera and I am trying to spend as much of my time out and about with camera in hand..

Well I think that should do for a while... I am in kent and have a hosting site where I post alot of my images..(Good and Bad so be kind if you pop by)

Must admit.. Tried cannon 2 years ago but the Nik was a better camera for me as I have shovels for hands.

How you finding the D80 over the D50, I'm looking at my next camera and carn't decide on a D80 or D200 :thinking: .

Hi Wile..

I am loving it... It is a great upgrade from the D50.. I looked at the D200 and that is a great camera with out a doubt but I liked the D80 for me, as I am not that profficient yet and it was not a huge financial layout once I sold the D50.

It is great with the Battery grip (Nikon) as you have the portrait shutter release and the additonal function wheels.

The screen is a huge improvement and the histogram view is split into four instead of a single histogram.

Plus the additional MP improves the cropping range for me... If you no what I am getting at..

At the end of the day go visit shop and play with both, I found the D80 best option for me..
