Hello, just joined your forum after a recommendation from another site, and thought I would say Hello.

I am a photographic model (amongst other things :) ) and have very recently started to take a few photos. I don't have any of the proper equipment yet, but I do love the images that my recent birthday present (non SLR) camera produces nonetheless. I am not working just now so can't afford any of the proper stuff but ... that will come when the time is right, I'm sure :)

I love taking photos of local nature, land/townscapes etc, stuff that other folk would just pass by, but which often screams out to me to be photographed. Even though I don't really have a clue what I am doing, some of the pics I have taken really do speak to me! I have no idea if they are any good or total rubbish, but they please me and I love taking them, so as they say around here 'That'll do me'

I am here hoping to make new friends, have fun and to learn a lot from those of you who (unlike me!) know what you're doing!

Lou x

Hey. Welcome. I am in a similar boat to you. Although hoping to get some kit within a month.

For me its not how big the lens is its what you do with it that counts.

I totally think that sometimes your not wanting to catch the perfect photo. Sometimes its the moment or story.

Hope all is well

Yes exactly! I just want to capture what my eye, mind and heart see :D
A lot of sites I have checked out waffle on about technical perfection and the like ... thats not what I am after. I have no wish to turn a grey sky blue (grey skies can be as beautiful as blue ones, and in the UK are perfectly natural!). I just want to be able to capture the beauty I see around me every day, warts an' all :D

I like how you think.

My intention is to do Photography in Both an Art (" I just want to capture what my eye, mind and heart see") way and how perfect can we make it all as well.

On a side note i wish people could see what my imagination sees.. *** think i am mad :s
