I thought it would be prudent to join us as I am about to transition from a Fuji S5600 to a proper camera, DRZ's 300d which was in the classifieds here (not from here I hasten to add, I know him IRL) 
I'm going to be needing quite a bit of help I would have thought, I've already started accumulating things and have a 70-200 L lens on the way to go with the kit lens.
Later this year I have a few trips planned including one to India, shooting tigers! Only with the dSLR of course
So I want to feel competent with the SLR before I go.
I look forward to lots of useful information and rifleing through old posts for ideas
