Hiya
I'm George, I've just got a 400D (with 18-55 IS)
I did a photography module as part of my forensic science course, and its made me want to get into photography.
So I've got the camera, now I just need to use it.
Not really sure what I want to take pictures of yet though.
How did you lot decide what you want to take pics of?
G

Welcome George. It's probably fair to say that none of us chose what to take pictures of....we just chose to take pictures!

Seriously - it's the best way - take photos of anything and everything.

Hi George

Welcome to TPF.

Im sure if you stick around and browse the forum for a while, something will jump out and make you want to go take pics of it.
Ive even started looking for bird shots now, hadnt the slightest bit of interest in birds when I joined ... tis all that CT's fault! ;)

Hi George and welcome like everyone else I suppose I just photograph what I like
Bob

Hello :)

Take the camera with you when you go somewhere would be a good start :)

Hi George,

I just snap at everything, and go back to the things I enjoyed doing really...I think its the best way to find your own niche...experience it all if you can :)

Forensic Science? That's something I've always wanted to do...Sounds really interesting.

I've been doing a fair few birds, mostly swans, but a few seagulls too, they seem to be in the city at the moment, which is odd. Good practice for tracking shots though.
Been out and took a load today. I want a longer lens, and a model, so i can see if i like to work with people.
