Morning all,
Just joined this site on recommendation from a friend on here. I'm just beginning to take my photography more seriously after many years of what I can only call casual photography. 90% of my photos are of the kids or to capture places we've visited, but an increasing proportion are what I'd call more creative photography - scenes or objects that interest me - and I have to say I'm getting a lot of enjoyment from this.
I've progressed from compact Sony cameras, to a Panasonic FZ18 "bridge" camera and I've just ordered a Nikon D5000. I'm already thinking what "one size fits all" lens I need as the kit lens is only 18-55mm and I've been spoilt until now with the Panasonic's 18x zoom - great for taking photos of the kids when they're not aware of me taking them. As ever, I'm on a budget though, so I'm considering the compromise of the Nikon 55-200mm VR lens, which is on Amazon for under £200 at the moment.
Anyway, I'm rambling on here. I'm looking forward to getting some of my better photos on here for you all to constructively criticise.
