Hello from West Yorkshire

After drooling for years at some magnificent photos i have decided to give it ago. Purchased Canon 450d with 18-55 kit lens. Joined local club for an insight (first time this weekend). Interested in all types of photography, but have a thing for wild life and sport. Can anyone recommend a decent lens for this type of shot, looking to pay upto about £150.
looking forward to all thats associated with photography.
