I'm David, and as the subject says I'm from West Lothian in Scotland. I've always been into photography and love using my iPhone to capture things that interest me but I've recently just bought a Nikon D3300 with the 18-55mm kit lens and also the 35mm DX prime lens.

I want to get into photography more and take it more seriously as due to my work I fortunately have quite a bit of spare time on my hands! I'm here mainly to ask questions from the more experienced guys about different types of shots etc and also hopefully receive feedback on my work too, that'd be fantastic.

I'm pretty into Instagram as I'm sure many of you are as it's a great way to see other great photographers work really easily, and I have a lot of questions about stuff I see on there that I'd like to get answers for if possible too?!

I'll just say hello now. I know you'll get the "welcome pack" response shortly from someone else too. Plenty of inspiration to be found here and generally all friendly so far for me.

Welcome David you sound just like me, I started out on iPhone stuff and completely addicted to instagram, then got myself a Canon 550d
I still love seeing what can be done via phone
