Hello all!

I've been mostly browsing a few forums, reading people's opinions on dodgy internet shops as I'm in the process of entering digital photography for real.

Well, you could say I got stuck in film but it's just getting too expensive for my taste and living in London (shouldn't blame in the city) I just never got about sorting a darkroom and all, and honestly, I've always had a few reservations with digital.

But hey, gotta move on with the times, and I'm now shopping for a 7d and a 85mm.

Hoping to share some stuff pretty soon!
thanks for all the shared knowledge in the forums

Hi Beto, welcome to TP.

Honestly,I'm an old film junkie and I know what you mean about film prices.
You only take a shot if you think it is a winner, but since moving over to a DSLR I have found it a great learning tool.

You can look at a shot and take it in different exposures to see how it looks ,cr@p,well just delete it.........with film you can't afford to do that.

Welcome Beto, hope your search for a digital camera ends well for you. Look forward to seeing some of your work.

Thanks Ian!

Hi Rick! Yeah exactly, I'll try to keep the same approach, and this raises a good point, I imagine that this cameras have massive files when shooting raw, the gx200 is 12 megapixels and managing, archiving and keeping up with the raw files where a bit of a let down for me, how do you guys manage the archive of your photos, is there a cool system you'd recommend? thanks beto
