Just returned to photography using a used D850. That's it really.

I've had to join using an old email address as the system doesn't seem to like p ro t o n. m e email addresses and 'the administrator has banned your email address' was all I got; hardly a welcoming message. I've even had to space out the email server name because the administration here just converts the name to SPAM.

Hi and welcome (back) to TP

AFAIK there have been extra security put into place in the last few months.

As a returning member ....can I suggest you report your own post with an explanation and all being well the mods will look into the matter for you.

Having just tried to use Two VPN's and about 40+ IP addresses I've come to the conclusion TP is starting to not like VPN's , It quotes each time your IP address is banned but could other anti track/ privacy settings be upsetting it ?

Yes, I do use a VPN but I tried without and it still didn't work. It wouldn't affect the posting of the name of the email provider itself though...and I'll do it correctly now: proton.me and now I'll spell it out with spaces: p_rot_on.ME and you can see what it does. The system just substitutes the word SPAM for the email provider mentioned, This particular email provider is a legitimate one, loads of people use it, I use it as my primary email address -- but not here, it seems.

Anyway, I've spent far too much time and effort on this subject and none on photography so if a moderator will kindly delete my account, I'll move on somewhere else. Yes, I mean it. delete it.

As mentioned, you will need to engage with the mods and/or admin .

Simplest way AFAIK is to click "Report" in the bottom left hand corner of any of your posts e.g. your OP and ask for help .

Just to feedback on this for others who took the time (even if @Alt_Lifestyle has flounced) we did have a global block on Proton Mail due to spam emanating from there, we have now removed it and will see how it goes.
