Hi, name's Mark and I've been looking to get a new hobby for a while... getting too old for wine, women, song, fast cars and motorbikes (my spirit's willing lol) so mebbe photography's the way to go :shrug:

Cameraphone.. Fujifilm FinePix.. ok but not really... I'm lacking something

So... a friend has persuaded me to get into the world of SLR and after much poking about on the 'net, reading reviews, prices etc. I've taken the plunge and invested in a 450D w/18-55 and 50mm f1.8... whatever that means, dunno but seemed a good place to start and hope to find out hence joining the forum
