Hi everyone,

First post so please forgive if i do anything wrong.

My name is Declan lepage keefe

I am 17 years of age and currently study at college

i have been taking photo for 3 years and self taught myself how to use canon Dslr's

I specialize in sports and lifestyle photography of which i shoot very regularly as i take part in a lot of extreme sports myself.

Thanks, i am currently using a 550d, and thinking of making the move to a 5d, but very skint at the moment. i started with a 450d
 
Did you use your 550d for long before deciding to upgrade?

Appreciate it man, thanks! i recently bought myself a canon 70-200 2.8 IS Lens which im really only using at the moment as its the sharpest and best lens i have, its also most practical for my type of photography.

i have been using stock lenses until now :( but all my new shots as you can probably tell are much sharper and better colours.

nope i have had her for a while and she has been good, and i will not be selling the 550d because i film a bit to.

the main reason is i wanted to take the leap to a full frame censor
 
Thanks Declan. I was undecided to which one to get hence was wondering if it was better to get the 600d as a starting point. I just got it today now and can't be more happy I decided to go for the 600D.
 
You can probably pick up a 2nd hand 550 for 3/4 the price of a 600d. Feature wise you wont be losing much apart from the rotating lcd screen.

If you have the money and are serious about photography look at the 7D rather than wanting to upgrade to it as soon as you get used to your 550/600d ;-)
