Hi all!

I am a complete beginner to photography ( what I lack in knowledge I make up for in enthusiasm ) I live in the Leeds area - well just outside Leeds a small place called Tingley. I have a Canon 550D and a panasonic fz150 bridge ( which is great by the way:thumbs:) I am sure I will get lots of tips on here and will be able to pick people's brains when I get stuck :lol::lol:

Hi everybody! Thanks for the welcome . Answer to tugster's question 'what do I shoot' now that depends, if I have a 360 controller in my hand then I shoot ZOmbies (lol) if I have my 550d then anything that appeals to me or catches my eye. As I said I am a complete ( and I mean complete beginner!) I only have a few pics that I am happy with but will post as soon as I get the hang of things on here lol.

I started out just shooting anything that took my fancy, then the bug bit and I was addicted !

If you want to get better then post some images in the critique sections and learn from the advice given...don't take the comments personally and you will be fine.

Welcome Ann , I'm local to you as well in South Leeds . Keep an eye open for local meet ups and get yourself along to one . We're mostly a friendly bunch on here so just ask any questions you need answering , I'm sure that you'll get helpfull answers .
 
Welcome. I am also using a bridge camera as a total beginner to the world of photography and loving it lol.

I started as a complete novice a couple of years ago. Lots of friendly advice on here. Take some shots, ask for feedback, you'll get better!

Also from the surrounding area and work in a similar place!

I've not heard of coffin corner? I call frost corner the top of haigh moor road where it meets westerton road :)
Posting shots is easy, upload to your Flickr account, then grab the link and post in your chosen/started thread. There's a tutorial on here that will explain it better than I just did.
 
Look at your pic on Flickr. Go to the share drop down menu. Get the BBC code. Copy it. Then paste in your post.

Thanks for that. I don't have a Flickr account, that's probably why it won't work. Silly me. Will get one :)

There's definitely plenty of us :) we're having a meet in July up North Yorkshire, check out the meeting place section and check out the meet that Matt and Darrell are putting on, last years was brilliant.
