Hi guys 
I'm James and I'm from Doncaster, South Yorkshire. I'm a complete noob and I'm here to learn.
I was told about TP by a fellow member of a car club (yes, I'm a petrolhead :nuts: )
My only experience with real photography was back at art college, over ten years ago. I studied technical illustration and part of the course involved taking reference photos to work from. The cameras we used were very basic, old school 35mm film cameras, but they did teach me that there is a lot more to good photography than just point and shoot.
Since college I've always admired good photography and have always had the urge to get myself a proper camera and get creative.
I'll be looking at buying my first DSLR very soon, but in the meantime I'll probably be frequenting the basics forum on here to ask lots of noob questions
