I started growing my interest in photography 18 months ago when I bought my Fuji HS20 bridge camera. I have had some superb pictures from it. When I bought it, I didn't expect the image quality to be SLR standard, but I have been impressed by it's capabilities, especially when I used it on full zoom at the Take That concert.

Just before Christmas, I had some spare cash so I went out and bought a full SLR setup. I got the Nikon D5100 with a couple of zooms. I then overspent on all the "bits n bobs" that are needed. You know, things like spare battery, UV filters to protect the lenses, remote release, carrying cases, memory card, they all add up! Luckily, I had just enough left for some studio lighting. I got an Interfit kit with 2 softboxes. The lights are continuous rather than flash, so can be used for video as well as still work. I haven't got round to experimenting with them yet.

I live only a few minutes drive from the Peak District so I'm looking forward to getting some good pictures.

I do travel extensively, both in the UK and Europe.

I have ambition to turn professional, but I also realise that I have a lot to learn yet.

I am very much up for meeting people to go on photo shoots with etc.
