Hello to all - been lurking for a few weeks while deciding on what camera to buy.

My main hobby is shooting air rifles - I compete at regional and national levels.

Photography seems to be a perfect partner to my other hobby as I find myself in the countryside most weekends when shooting competitions or just at my club practicing.

It's all new to me, but it is interesting to see that my experience with high magnification scopes has already given me a foundation in some aspects of photography.

I ended up with a Sony A6000 - only had it a week or so but enjoying learning all about it and photography in general. I like forums and use several for my other hobbies - great places to seek advice.

It must have been very difficult to figure all this out in years gone by - only film cameras and no YouTube or Google :)

Very good, father in law uses Minolta / Sony and loves them - the big advantage he has is IS in the body, so any lenses he uses have that option...

Enjoy your new body, oh and welcome to having no money :D
