Been a bit of a tinkerer with cameras over the years and decided to take a proper course. Got one more year to go and so much to learn.

Trying to get my 14 year old son into it as well.

Trying all sorts of photography and about to get a proper macro lens to try that as well.

Presently using a D90 (hence the tag name) and son uses a D5000 so we can share lenses and other associated kit.

Spend time wandering the local canals, Himley, Sandwell Valley e.t.c.

I'm doing a 2 year course through Dudley College, it's City & Guilds based but gets you entry into the Royal Photographic Society. A mixed study and practical based course where a quite lengthy report has tp be written on the theory of photography, image presentation and image critique.

Year 1 is Tuesday evening, year 2 is Thursday evenings, all 6 - 9pm.

Run through Dudley College at the Mons Hill campus.
