Hi All, :wave:

I'm Sarah and I live in Snodland.

I did photography back in school as an AS Level and didn't give it the attention I should have when I could have learnt so much!! :bang:
I think partly because my SLR camera back then was a "cheapo" that my parents got me just so I could attend the course for Photography and it was "embarrassing" to get out. Something I regret now! :(

I've always loved taking pictures and my partner got me a nice new Nikon for my birthday two years ago and I have been happily snapping away since. I love it! :love:

But although my partner and family are very supportive and say "that's great" to some of my pictures... I can't help but want a bit of advice/honesty from lovely people like yourselves who are very clearly amazing at photography!

So, I'm looking forward to browsing this forum a lot more and hopefully posting some of my photos to have a bit of feedback on where I may be going wrong or where I can improve.

Welcome to the forum. I don't live that far away from you - I'm in Maidstone. The guys on here are very friendly and full of god advise, tips and ideas.

You must know a good few places to photograph around here then?
I've only recently moved to Snodland. I love it at Leybourne lakes. :)

Welcome.
Myself and a colleague have to collect spares for our work nearby. We had our first walk round Leybourne Lakes the other day.
Very pleasant, could do with a cafe though.

Yes, that is one thing it is missing!

I love going there very early in the morning when it is just me, my partner and all the rabbits hopping about. The mist that comes up off the lakes is eerily beautiful too! :)

I too am new to the area - only moved to Maidstone in oct last year. Hopefully we can let each other of good places to photograph. I must come down to leybourne lakes one of these days

The link that Colin posted looks good.

Definitely visit Leybourne Lakes. It's wonderful just before the sun rises. :) Especially if you like rabbits. :love:
