Hi Guys and Girls,

I was told that this was a nice and friendly place so here I am, I'm not strictly new to photography but I am picking it back up after a lengthy break. I used to take pictures all the time with my old Minolta X700, but the passion went when digital arrived and I couldn't afford anything decent. So I took up scuba/rebreather diving which took over my life for about 10 years which ironically turned out to be about 50x more expensive than a decent digital setup. Anyway I have in the last year or so got back in to photography so heres to the next ten years!

im just a holiday diver.
 
Well thanks for the welcome notes guys, they are appreciated. Yep I'm just a holiday diver now too, just don't have the time to dedicate to full on Uk technical diving.

I have missed the social aspect of diving though hence the reason for joining. I might even muster the courage to join in with the competitions, critique can't be a bad thing.

We're a friendly bunch with no shortage of advice so please make yourself at home.
I'm kind of hoping that we may get to see you combining your diving and photography - I've got a real soft spot for underwater photography :)
(That's enjoying looking at other people's BTW not partaking in it - I have ZERO diving ability and no time to learn :lol: )
