Hey everyone, Im Alan.
Ive just picked up first digital SLR, i have a Canon 450D and a 18-55mm IS lens, Tamron 70-300mm lens (which im trying to sell one so i can get a 55-250mm IS lens). I have jut purchased a velbon shepra 450r tripod from jessops (thanks to this forum for £29) and ordered a book, Canon XTi Rebel/450D for dummies from amazon for £12. Also got on order a sandisk extreme III 30mbp/s 8gb SD card. And ive just ordered some cheap extension tubes and a shutter remote.
Does seem an ok starter set up?
I would like to go down the macro photography, as i would love to take some lovely photos of my pets, my poison dart frog collection.
I can afford a macro lens just yet, but would like to down the line. hopefully the extension tubes will be good enough for me to grasp the basics.
any tips or pointers in the right way would be great.
Oh and i also got a treat of lightroom 3 from my brother who is a reseller
no idea how to use it, or what it can do!!! lol
