Hello,

I'm new the DLSR ownership having bought a Sony A390 for a trip overseas last year. Needless to say I have not had much success but managed to pull the rabbit out of the hat with some shots and not understand why.

I'm hoping that by joining a forum like this I'll be able to pick up some tips and direction.

Ideally I'm looking for a night photography course havng been semi-discouraged from attending a Jessops 1 day introductory course but would like to attend the Jessops Big Cat Day.

Anyway, I'll stop waffling.

Hi Gazmo,

It's a great forum for that. The critique section shows some great shots plus comments on them from some clever & talented photographers. I learn a lot from reading those.
