Hi everybody.

I'm a long time "taker of pictures" who finally learned how to take a photo properly about 4 years ago.

Since then I've gone crazy on Ebay and in charity shops and have picked up more old cameras that I'll ever get to use. Fortunately, I chose them based purely on looks, so they still look nice whilst sitting unused on my shelf.

In the collection are both Canon and Nikon, thus giving me the right to side with whoever is winning the argument about which is best. Not that either side will ever win, because the answer is Minolta.

I dabble in various styles, but tend to be a bit bi-polar in my approach. Either something is very colourful (I grew up in the 80s, after all) or it's in mono. DOF is either infinite, or it's very shallow. Shutter speed is either freezing things in time, or it's unnecessarily long.

I consider the internet as a form of entertainment and little else. Real life is miserable enough, so I try and squeeze every last bit of amusement out of it. For these reasons, don't ever take what I say too seriously.

Except that bit about Minoltas being great, because they are.
