Hi peeps always wanted to get into photography and have maybe left it a little late in life to start. I am a complete novice and couldnt find a dummies guide so hopefully with all your help I might one day gain the accolade of becoming an amateur, please be gentle with me because there will be times when I will ask the most stupidest of questions as sometimes in this game I cannot see the woods for the trees

None that I would want to be a member of anyway!
Tried a couple, all they wanted, was for you to put images in a competition.
The same old same old won them every time, very cliquey.
Wait for a local-ish meet and go to one, the members on here are very free with advice.

Hi and welcome, re dummies guide, lots of great info, help and tips here, plus if you cant find something, ask, usually you'll get replies within minutes :)
As for "dummies guides" I got the "Guide for Dummies" specific to my camera, and found it invaluable, as a complete newbie :)
