Hi all

I'm a first time forum user and having read a few posts and had a look round, I think talkphotography is going to be great fun and a great resource.

I've been a stay at home dad for the last 4/5 years but have been studying and practicing photography for the last 3 years. I'm now starting to build a business and hope to be on my way within a year (fingers crossed!). Event and portraiture is my thing and i'm looking to build up experience, gain contacts and throw myself into the photography community.

I would love to get in touch with people at the same stage as me and see if we can help each other along and share experiences. I would also like to hear from anyone who is looking for a 2nd photographer or an assistant. I'd really enjoy that and would hope to be able to return favours.

Hi guys and thanks. Pleasure to be here.

Thats right, no event stuff for the minute. I have done a few but not really enough of the right type to post on the website yet. Im hoping to get a lot more experience over the next few months and then relaunch the website as a proper business site rather than just 'heres some nice photos'!. I guess I should update the site asap though.

Im originally from the Sarf (Croydon in truth), but Norf now in Muswell Hill/Bounds Green. Are you London Byker?

Grew up in Palmers Green and Enfield, my wife is from Southgate. My sister had a house just at the foot of Ally Pally.
Now I've moved out to the country :)

Just a quick question about posting images. Should I start a new thread when I want to post one or is there a forum/thread already for doing so?
