Thought I should put a little intro in as seem to have skipped this forum and got stuck in to the photo and tech sections, oops!
Anyway, I'm mid 30's Australian but been out of the country for about 10 years. I'm really happy to have found such an active and local forum. I'm a graphic/interface designer by trade but started off in Photography about 16 years ago with film and darkrooms.
I've since had a range of different cameras (first digital one in 2002) and varied my level of passion for photography but always carried my camera while traveling. I managed to do quite a bit of traveling over the last few years which led me to buy a 'proper' DSLR about 5 years ago.
I recently sold that system for a Panasonic G3 micro four thirds camera with the hope that it would encourage me to carry a camera around more, and not only when traveling to new places.
I'm now on the look out for some local camera clubs or courses where I can explore and learn, but also finding internet forums a great source for that.
