I'm Jackie, from Leeds. I'm a staff nurse on ICU and decided I needed a hobby!
I've always appreciated good photography, and years ago I ("we", really) had a old film SLR and I used to enjoy taking some good shots with that.
Been thinking about getting myself a "proper" DSLR for a few years, and a few weeks ago I bought myself a Canon EOS 1000D and have started shooting a few things here and there, and have been enjoying the results.
Even though 9 out of 10 pictures are a bit rubbish, there are the odd few that I have really thought were very good captures, and with the added advantage of digital, no extra expense is needed for processing rubbish photographs!
Just thought I'd join a forum where I could get tips, ask silly questions and learn!
