Thanks for the welcome.
bit about myself
I started photography helping my granddad, I was intrigued by the alchemy of processing film and prints. By the time of my 11th birthday I unwrapped my first darkroom equipment and entered the world of my own potions and formulas.
My first SLR was a Zenith which became my 'go to' camera, even when I migrated to Nikon at age 16 the zenith remained in good service due to the wide availability (low cost) of lenses with the screw thread.
I moved digital in my mid 20's still messing around in the darkroom as I moved to transparencies and a dedicated film scanner .
I still preferred B&W and subsequently dropped the digital.
When I eventually stuck my head out of the darkroom just turning 30 something I noticed Nikon had produced a new line of digital that on paper I thought it was time to migrate.
Well im 40 something now and still married to Nikon still experimenting and always learning something new.
