Good afternoon all
I live in Glos and need some advice on buying a new (second hand) DSLR...my first ever...this looked like the type of forum I need. So I hope you are willing, able and patient enough to deal with a complete camera numpty :)

You'll get a 101 varying recommendations with regards to camera selection. Get yourself down to the nearest camera shop and try some for size/weight. And don't disregard used equipment, you can get some excellent used gear for bargain prices ;)
 
Thanks both, new? What's that :). No, I can't afford new, so will be looking for old, something like a dslr Pentax, Canon or Nikon, probably 10mp. I need to learn what I'm doing with a decent old camera before I get swamped by features that confuse me even more. I've looked on EBay, but am unsure of sellers there, and some of their offerings. I have made bids, none successful so far
