Hi All,
Thank you for having a quick look at my post and thank you for any comments you leave.
I'm 30, married and living in Gloucestershire. After visiting a local phonographic exhibition a few months ago I have been inspired to promote myself up from point and click compact camera holiday snaps, and take up photography as a more involved hobby. Which as soon as I say that to people they instantly take a deep breath in a go "that'll be expensive" as I am told it can become addictive.
After lengthly research on the net and shops, and testing various entry level cameras, I have purchased a Nikon D3000 with Kit Lens 18-55mm Vr lens, just to get me started.
I found this forum whilst googling and am inspired and overwhelmed by all the possibilities for photographs. All you need is a camera, a willingness to have a lot of practise and a creative imagination.
I have started doing my homework on my camera settings, basic photography techniques and scanning though this website. Wow, what a lot to learn. Where do I start? LOL.
My Goal is to have someone one day, a friend or relative ask for one of my photographs and to frame it and put it up in their house. They would be amazing, a real achievement.
Please feel free to get in touch.
Happy Snapping Everybody.
