Hi guys im Alex

19 from Ilford, Essex (sort of outer london)

Been into photography for quite a while, always had just point and shoot cams but last night purchased a Fujifilm s5700, 7.1mp 10x optical zoom, manual overrides such as aperture and shutter speed.

Thought id sign up and get some inspiration/ideas....

Ive seen on ebay for my camera wide angle lens etc, is there such a thing for my camera and could i use any 46mm wide angle lens or 46mm filters)

Look forward to speaking to you lot

Alex

Welcome Alex,

I grew up in Seven Kings (Cambridge Road) but haven't been back there for years. Don't really know anything about the fujis, but there'll be someone who can answer your question for you on here somewhere.

Looking forward to seeing some of your work.

All the best
Dave

Ahh seven kings, what an area it is now, drove down there on sunday morning to the station car park, 11 cars with windows smashed

Such a bad area now obviously theres worse places but its gone down hill....

As for my work ill try get some up later, i started off just in photoshop but have developed a "love" for photography :p

Thought I'd return your welcome.

I started off down the same route as you, getting a passion through photoshop. Also had a Fuji as my first decent to camera to learn off of. Used it to learn the basics of shutter speeds and apertures etc. I didn't buy any lenses for it though. Decided instead to move on to a nikon d40 so I could keep my glass as I upgraded further.

This book "understanding exposure by Bryan Peterson" helped me a lot for the step-up from point and shoot.

My first full time job was in seven kings. Sad to see it going so down hill...

Welcome Alex, grab yourself a seat and put your feet up :)
