Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd introduce myself before involving myself in some of the discussions going on round here. :wave:

I'm Garry and I'm based in Edinburgh. I did a BA(hons) in photograhy at uni but, like most people with degrees these days, I'm not using it in my day job! This means that photography currently remains in the hobby category of my life.

I was pointed towards this forum by Ken (Kendo) and Joe (Seppi3) and it looks like the kind of place I will enjoy visiting regularly.

Hello :)

I persevered and got to see some of your images. Some just very good and others just excellent. Your website is far too 'flash' (as in macromedia) for my liking. Maybe I'm too old to appreciate it :)

It's only the front page that has any flash on the website but I guess even that's too much for some people!:thinking:

I did my Degree at the Photography School at Napier.
 
hi Garry, I did photography at Napier - long before it was a UNI - it was just a 'college of science and technology' in my day! Like your pics but am not a fan of the website either I'm afraid. It's slow to load for me and I think the gallery style could put people off from viewing these great pictures.

I always appreciate honest feedback. Maybe I should knock up a bog standard non-flashy site and give people the choice. So far the positive comments out weigh any negatives (of course that might just be people being nice!!) and it seems to load fast enough on most people's machines.

Keep the site the way it is, flashy bits and all!!!

Its just like photography, you have something different and new, and not all are going to like it or accept it, and in no way does it detract grom your images.


(Thats a fiver you owe me by the way!!)
