Hello all. I've enjoyed your forum since last night, so it's probably about time I introduced myself. My name's Oksana, and I like taking pictures. I run a rabbit rescue, so bunny photos take up the most of my memory card (and PC). Few of them any good, but maybe (just maybe) they'll get somewhat better if I start interacting with people who know what they're doing.
I'm definitely not a pro, but I like to know why awful pictures are so and the nice ones are lovely... I like to understand what I'm doing, and the only way to learn something is to understand it for me (and use it in practice), so I do try, though it's been a steep one for me because I'm not very technical and it takes me many explanations, diagrams, tries, and practice to get to the bottom of seemingly the simplest things. (And maybe it has something to do with my attention span being shorter than that of my rabbits!)
My dad has been a photography enthusiast his whole life and gives me lots of guidance. With his help (and insistence), I was out of the auto mode land pretty much as soon as I lay hands on my Nikon (which is just an average cropped DSLR), but there's just so much to learn, it drives me crazy! And these rabbits! They just won't sit still, will they?!
Anyway, hi all! It's nice to be here. Bit daunting... but it'll be OK, I'm sure! Now, it seems, I'll need a Flickr account.
