Hi folks,

Just joined today. No expert, but have been using a DSLR for about 5-6 years now and steadily progressing along at my own speed, but enjoy what I have captured and enjoying my photography.

I live on the South Coast of the Westcountry in England, UK and it is a beautiful spot to capture the world. We have some awesome scenic views here ;)
So, as you can imagine, I capture a lot of scenics, from Landscapes to Seascapes, of which we have both, right on my front door step, so to speak.
I also do a lot of zoology work too, when I can.

I do know that there are a couple of friends on here from other sites and I am sure that I will catch up with them sooner or later LOL
To everyone else, Hi, good to part of this forum and hope to chat with some of you soon.

I am not on too much, so will catch up when I can.

Any Q's, please feel free to ask ;)

Thanks for having me here

Regards, Jay from the UK

Hi Jay, welcome to the forum :welcome:

Hi Jay and welcome to TP - Glad that you found us - Sounds like you you've got loads of inspiration :D

Look forward to seeing you around

Hi Jay and welcome look forward to seeing your work.

Sara and Steve,

Many thanks indeed for the warm welcome. Hope to share some of my work with you real soon (once I figure out how to upload and where LOL)
Oh, I am no expert Sara.....just very pickie on what I find to capture LOL :P, but I can certainly share some lovely spots with you all ;)

Look forward to sharing with you more soon hopefully ;)

Hey jay welcome to TP - where on the south coast are you ? (I work at Branscombe although I live further inland near the somerset border). Btw if you have a look in the meeting place board a few of us are tryingto set up a meet at Escot (near Honiton) for red squirrels and such in the near future.

Hey Pete, many thanks indeed for the warm welcome my friend. Appreciated ;)

I live a mile or two from The English Riveria, Newton Abbot to be precise

I will certainly look into the meeting place board soon enough and would welcome a meet up in the future, if I can arrange something in between family commitments and health issues :(

Again, much appreciated my friend. Happy to be here.

Regards, Jay

Yeah, just been looking around and caught a post about a meeting near me in the near future, so posted in there to keep me updated.
Loving it so far and some great friendly folk here ;)

Looking forward to sharing more here as and when I can

Hi jay and welcome. I know Newton abbot reasonably well as I have a friend live there and of course the infamous adventure park/shop. I spent a week last year exploring looe and southwards. Beautiful bit of the country, so looking forward to seeing some of your images.

Hi Jay -welcome to our friendly little forum, as you say plenty of meets to get involved in - I'm just up the M5 Nr Taunton

:Les

Thanks for the warm welcome folks, much appreciated ;)

@Byker28i - We certainly do have some wonderful countryside/scenery down here. A lot of folk tend to miss it and walk by without a care in the world. We do need to stop and take it all in sometimes.
Will share some of my work real soon........promise ;)

@les - Not too far for sure, but that all depends on fuel costs for me to travel that far, but I am sure that somewhere down the road (excuse the pun) we all could meet half way somewhere in the near future.

Glad to be part of the community here folks. Thanks again for the nice welcomes ;)

Regards, Jay

Lee - Thanks for the warm welcome my friend and the appreciation on my Tree image captured at Stover. Love it there when the weather is good ;)
How far away are you from me then?

Les - "I have 4,000 acres of Land we can shoot over if you're tempted by wildlife shots"

Whilst time can be limited for me (caring for my disabled son, family commitments and health issues), I will hold you to that for a future meet up. Most definately ;) Thanks for that info ;) Very nice capture too. Great look on his face. Something yet to capture for me :(

Hi Jay...
Not that far really, I live in South Brent (y)
