Hi everyone
I've been looking for a forum as my interest in photography has been rekindled after several years. I've come across a couple and this one seems to be up my street.
I used to be into it big time as an enthusiastic hobbyist at the time when the Canon T90 came out. (I remember that because I broke the bank balance to get one - only to find out that it takes more than a good camera to make a good photograph
I'm sure I'm not alone in having more enthusiasm than skill. )
A lot has changed since then both in terms of photography and my life. I now find myself older, hopefully wiser, and with ill health. All of these make you look at life differently, and the latter in particular makes you look at everything around you, and things going on around you differently. You take it all in, soak up every person, every scene, every sunset, every bird with a real desire to appreciate that moment. This is where photography comes back into my life.
I figure that as I am looking so closely at things now and wanting to soak it all up, then while doing so, maybe I can capture these moments in the camera and look at them, share them and hopefully show family who I am and how I see life, now that I see it so differently.
Still, that said I still just have a love of photography. I love the technology, I love the learning about shutter speeds, aperture, light, reflection etc etc and so just get a buzz from it so it's still just darned good fun as well.
I hope that I have found a forum of like minded people to share with, to learn from and just to enoy looking at photos on.
Rick
