Hi everyone.

Just started browsing this forum today and signed up.

Going to take full advantage of this forum as I have been swindering on photography for some time now.

Going as far as buying a camera this coming weekend and have a question or two to ask first but will leave that for topic related post to follow shortly.

So just a quick Hi just now.

Lee.

Hi Lee and welcome to the forum.

Great golf course you have there.
I've played the Championship quite a few times along with the Burnside

;)

Hi,

Thanks for the welcome and kind comments with regards to the golf courses we have.

Never had the luxury of playing the Championship myself, one of those things I take for granted cause it's so local but the Burnside is still a lovely course.

I play the Buddon (To the left of Championship from 1st tee) every week. Season Ticket Holder.

Still a very challenging little course.

Lee.

I've hit a ball onto the Buddon but never played it....:lol::lol::lol:

Have you played Scotscraig???
That is a fantastic course, and one I would gladly go back to
;)

Ha ha ha that's weird.

I live in Carnoustie and you happen to know that course.

I play Scotscraig every other week with my Grandad who lives in Tayport.

We might bump into each other next on one of the courses.

Another course I play alot is Montrose, they held the 2007 open qualifications in Montrose. I play this course mostly on Friday's after work as I work in Montrose.

I was on a golf weekend in Aberfeldy last week, Played Aberfeldy course on the Friday, Taymouth Castle on the Sat and Aberfeldy again on the Sunday. It was a mini tournament held by Michellin Tyres Dundee.

Taymouth was very nice, more the setting than anything else. Aberfeldy had some nice features. I'm playing Strathmore this weekend. Good course but very long. The Yellows to Whites add another 600 yards Par 72.

It's in great condition at the moment.

I played Montrose, once...in a howling gale and chucking it down with rain.
Lovely old course, a true links and we kept expecting to see the ghost of Old Tom Morris walking up the fairways.
Used to go up the East Coast a lot playing in the 90's.
Ladybank, Downfield, Pitlochry, Letham Grange, Alyth, Panmure, Leven & Lundin Links to name just a few.
Happy days and high teas
:beer::beer:

The ghost of Tom Morris. :runaway:

Never played any of the courses you have mentioned other than the glens course. Letham Grange.

The only course I have played south of the border was Selby outside York. Not a bad course actually. Remember playing well. Think the fairways were quite forgiving.

You out this weekend?

You out this weekend?

No. I played last week-end, guest of a friend at his courses mens invitation. If you had watched me from the clubhouse, you would have thought I was Ian Poulter...parred the 1st, 9th, 10th and birdied the 18th.
Trouble was, there were 14 other holes you couldn't see me on :lol:

Didn't play that badly to be fair, but we didn't win anything unfortunately.
I'll be out this week-end enjoying my other passion...the motorbike.
Got a Kawasaki ZZR1400 and have promised my Son a full English breakfast at a bikers cafe so hopefully get some good weather.

Rob

I'm in a similar boat to you. My other passion is Car Detailing. A couple of the members from detailingworld.co.uk are on here and that's how I heard of this forum.

Photography is a new one for me. I always pick the mega expensive hobbies.

Car detailing so far has cost me more money than i would like to discuss.

Don't know why the  it's not funny. But I love it.

Hi Lee and welcome, I'm just down the road from you in Dundee.
