Hello from Cambridgeshire

Hi all,

I'm a newbie here, and thought I'd say hello. I've been browsing through the forum for a little while, looking at the classifieds for more lenses, and being wowed by some of the images posted here, some are stunning.

I have a Nikon D7000, with a few lenses and extras. I've just upgraded from my beginners DSLR, a D40X, which I had for a couple of years.
I'm very interested in Motorsport, but I like to take all sorts of shots of anything & everything really. I also have an 11 month old daughter, so many portraits of her & my wife live in my digital portfolio!
I'm looking forward to learning more and more tips & tricks, as well as gaining inspiration for shots and projects.

Hello.

I've already picked up a few pointers on this site just from reading other people's threads, which seem very helpful and friendly thus far. I've even spent an hour and a half in a cold garage last night building a 'Heath Robinson' water droplet setup, since reading about them in the Macro section! I'll try it our soon and see if it actually works. If it does, I'll try and post the results in the relevant forum.
