Figured I might as well post an intro thread. Been into photography for awhile now but I feel as though I've hit a bit of plateau. Looking to get involved in some photography communities to hopefully further my skill and get the chance to talk with some like-minded creative folks. I'll shoot just about anything I get the opportunity to, but my favorite subjects are nature and architecture (mostly abandonments). Here's a link to my flickr if anyone is interested: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dawnpatrol/

Hi and a warm welcome to TP.
Hope you enjoy yourself here :)

Welcome - whereabouts are you in California it's a big place.
Is that Yosemite in your Flickr?

Asking as I'm heading to California in two weeks time :D

I'm in Socal. I just moved here from Illinois about a month ago. And yes! There are a few shots of Yosemite in there. I went on a trip there last summer. We backpacked in the wilderness and climbed a mountain and then spent a few days in the valley. It's an absolutely beautiful place, I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking for something to do. I'm currently trying to convince my boyfriend to take me back there when it snows.

Well, we're 3 days in San francisco, driving to Yosemite, staying at Wayona for 3 days, then a couple of days at Sequoia before heading to Death Valley and Vegas, with plans for grand canyon etc.

I've friends in Tampa, we've driven up the east coast from there, to Savannah, Atlanta and into Tennessee for the Smokey Mountains, so this year I'm looking forward to a bit of west coast :)
